At a time when the industrial job market was experiencing a real shortage of applicants, with only one application for every seven vacancies advertised, an innovative initiative was born: the creation of an in-house school.
Eyco Academy
This project was born out of a clear desire to respond to a major challenge, while at the same time providing a concrete solution to the shortage of skilled workers.
The idea quickly evolved into the creation of an adapted training program, enabling professionals to reorient themselves while acquiring new certified skills. To set itself apart, the school chose to offer a certifying course, guaranteeing participants genuine recognition of their skills. Thanks to collaboration with the technical platform of the UIMM (Union des Industries et Métiers de la Métallurgie), a CQPM (Certificat de Qualification Paritaire de la Métallurgie) as an autonomous production equipment manufacturer has been integrated into the program.
An efficient model
Today, two graduating classes have already successfully followed this path, demonstrating the effectiveness of the model.
To support this dynamic, the in-house school has introduced four levels of internal development. These new levels enable airline pilots to progress within their profession, consolidating their expertise while promoting skills enhancement.
This initiative is not just a response to an immediate market need, but is part of a long-term approach, offering a real opportunity for retraining and professional development.
A learning booklet
As part of the EYCO Academy training program, our automated line drivers are required to pass 4 skill levels. We have created a learning logbook so that everyone can follow their progress.
Our first booklet ceremony was held last June. For the occasion, Eric Eymard made a personalized speech for each airline pilot, which was greatly appreciated.
The first team was able to validate levels 1 and 2, and the second team, which joined us on permanent contracts last January, was able to validate level1.
